The trailer for Sky Force, featuring Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya, brings to life India’s first airstrike during the 1965 war. Directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, the film promises a gripping story of bravery and sacrifice, hitting theatres on January 24.

The much-awaited trailer of Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, was unveiled on Sunday, offering a glimpse into the patriotic action-drama based on India’s first airstrike during the 1965 India-Pakistan war.

Clocking in at two minutes and 48 seconds, the trailer introduces Akshay Kumar as Indian Air Force officer K.O. Ahuja, who embarks on a daring mission to locate and rescue his fellow pilot T.K. Vijaya, played by debutant Veer Pahariya. The story takes a tense turn when Vijaya goes missing during a high-stakes airstrike.

Set against the tense backdrop of the 1965 war, the trailer begins with Pakistan's then-President Muhammad Ayub Khan issuing a stern threat to India. The scenes quickly escalate into a gripping sequence of explosions and destruction as Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya sprint through an airbase under attack.

In his quest to retrieve his missing comrade, Akshay's character delivers a bold warning to Pakistan, flies fighter jets, and even wields a machine gun, showcasing his resolve and patriotism. The stakes are heightened by the emotional depth brought in by Sara Ali Khan, who portrays Veer’s love interest, grieving his presumed loss. Nimrat Kaur also stars in a pivotal role, adding to the film’s ensemble.

Directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik under the banners of Jio Studios and Maddock Films, Sky Force promises a compelling blend of action, emotion, and historical drama. The film is slated for a theatrical release on January 24, ahead of Republic Day.
