Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for the release of the pan-India film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie is scheduled to hit screens tomorrow in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. In this action-packed thriller, Prithviraj portrays the antagonist role.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, currently enjoying a string of box office hits, witnesses his latest Malayalam endeavor,The GOAT Life, crossing the 100-crore mark after the success of Salaar. His nationwide recognition has soared due to increased OTT consumption during the pandemic. Now, he eagerly awaits the release of the high-budget pan-India film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
Despite Prithviraj's extensive promotional efforts, the advance bookings have been disappointing, with only 13,000 tickets sold across major multiplex chains, even lower than the figures for Crew. This lackluster response extends to the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions, with no tickets sold for the latter. Given Prithviraj's status as a leading figure in Malayalam cinema, this underwhelming reception comes as a surprise. The projected opening day collection of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan around 12-13 crores on Eid could potentially prove embarrassing.
