The First Look Of Joaquin Phoenix As The Joker

After Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Jared Leto's finest portrayals of Batman's arch nemesis The Joker. Joaquin Phoenix is going to be the fourth actor to portray the role of Joker in the standalone film Joker which is set to release on 2019. The film is directed by Todd Phillips of The Hangover fame.

The first look showed the simple version of Joker without the white makeup, red lipstick and the blonde hair. This one seems a bit simple before he got sucked into the world of crime. The director posted it on his Instagram handle.

This was actually revealed in a comic book Batman: The Killing Joke which explored the backstory of The Joker where he wanted to become a standup comedian before getting sucked into the world of crime. This one might the toned version of the nemesis and we might get to see something new as well.
