Some Conservative Backlash For Barbie Movie

Barbie has received rave reviews at the box office, but some people were unhappy with the film's premise. Surprised about the latter is the film's Greta Gerwig who did not expect the backlash the film received.
Greta Gerwig's Barbie made an astonishing $162 million during its opening weekend, which broke records for a female director. However, there were some people who had a more conservative approach to the film.
Gerwig admitted that she did not expect the extent to which it would provoke right-wing figures. However, she is very happy with the majority of the audience's reviews because that is what she had envisioned.
While people are defending the movie, saying that it is just a film on a doll and it's for kids, others are claiming that the film is not meant for children, and should be given an Adults Only certificate.
Earlier, Singer Sona Mohapatra had taken to social media to express disappointment on the Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie. The Indian singer took to her Twitter account to say, 'Can’t believe I went to a theatre after eons & subjected myself to an unbearable, terrible #Barbie . That there were a bunch of desi Barbies talking loudly through the film was additional torture.'
Before this, actor Juhi Parmar also shared an open letter to Barbie on social media. She took to Instagram and revealed that she walked out of the theatre along with her 10-year-old daughter 'within 15 minutes of the film'. She said she did not appreciate the use of 'inappropriate language and sexual connotations in the film'.
She captioned her letter with, 'A lot of my own audience is not going to happy be with what I share today, some of you may send me a lot of angst but I share this note as a concerned parent to Barbie! And for the other parents out there, don’t make the mistake I did and please do check before you take your child for the film, that choice is yours!'
