Sicario 2: Soldado is the sequel to the 2015 critically acclaimed Sicario which starred Emily Blunt as the lead playing the role of an FBI Agent.
Sicario 2: Soldado is pretty different from the 2015 Sicario. The first Sicario dealt with the issue of drugs trafficking which takes place at the US-Mexico border and a female FBI agent teams up with the local Mexican law-enforcement to bring down a drug cartel in Mexico.
The sequel to Sicario, starts with a bomb explosion in a grocery store in Kansas City which a CIA operative Matt Grave (Josh Brolin) suspects to be an involvement of a Mexican Drug Cartel who have started trafficking Islamic terrorists from Mexico to the United States.
Which turns out to be bogus as this is the handiwork of an independent organization who conspire to escalate the tension between the US and Mexico. The case finally goes to Alejandro Gillick (Benecio Del Toro) who concocts a plan to go rogue by kidnapping the daughter of a drug cartel boss and faking her execution to eradict the mess.
This one is pretty violent and brutal compared to the previous Sicario and keeps you hooked with a lot of nail-biting moments and chilling moments. This one will be just perfect for you to watch in the theatres.
