Ryan Reynolds’ 'Detective Pikachu' will be releasing on May 10, 2019, Universal announced. Reynolds has been roped in to play the role of Pikachu. The film also stars Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton. The team starts shooting mid-January in London. The film is based on the Pokemon gaming franchise. Pikachu is a species of Pokemon, while Detective Pikachu the character is a peculiar sort from the Pikachu set, a self-styled investigator who is good at finding things.
