Die Hard: The First Action Flick Set In The Background Of Christmas

Its been 30 years since we all went gaga over Die Hard, most of us weren't even born when the flick hit the theatres. Fortunately, thanks to our Dads who loved this film a lot.

Here are some of the interesting facts about this family oriented action flick which was so popular back in the day:

1. Die Hard is based on the book called Nothing Lasts Forever which was written by Roderick Thorp which is the sequel of his book The Detective.

2. Before Die Hard came into existence, the manuscript was supposed to be a sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1985 blockbuster hit Commando which was officially rejected by the producers.

3. Alan Rickman, who was famous for playing the role of the antagonist Hans Gruber became famous when he portrayed the role of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter series. Alan Rickman breathed his last on 14th January 2016 following a battle with cancer.

4. The main highlight of this film was the high-octane action filled with a lot of humorous moments. I loved that part when John McClane (Bruce Willis) lashes out at the dispatcher on the walkie-talkie when they avoid his calls while reporting an emergency.
