Velaikkaran is an Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Mohan Raja. The film features Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in the main lead and Fahadh Faasil, Prakash Raj in supporting roles. Shivakarthikeyan plays his second dual role, after the 2016 film Rajini Murugan. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Ramji. Velaikkaran is produced by R. D. Raja under 24AM Studios banner. The film deals with how two doppelgangers (an RJ and a Mill-Factory Owner) with the same identity from the cities of Chennai and Coimbatore fight against food adulteration and save their people. It is a story of how a young man from the slums fights against the food adulteration issue.
