Uriyatt is a Malayalam drama movie, directed by K Bhuvanachandran starring Jayan Cherthala,Chempil Asokan.The movie tells the tale of the age-old fight of the lower communities against the upper castes. Based on the lives of rural theyyam artistes, the Uriyyat narrative is made through Vishnu, a youngster who has a modern outlook and shuns his family heritage.Set over two eras, the film tries to showcase contemporary issues through theyyam.
