Sketch is a Telugu action thriller film written and directed by Vijay Chander featuring Vikram, Tamannaah and Sri Priyanka in the lead roles. This is a dubbed version of Tamil movie with same title. Chiyaan Vikram and Tamannaah are playing the main lead role in this movie. Vikram apparently plays a gangster in Sketch. The Plot: Vikram plays Jiiva aka Sketch, a good-hearted, stylish rowdy based in North Madras. His life revolves around his three buddies (Sreeman, 'Kalloori' Vinoth and Vishwanath), his boss (Hareesh Peradi) and uncle (Aruldoss) until Ammu (Tamannaah) makes an entry. She is a girl next door who falls in love with Sketch after the usual misunderstandings. Everything turns messy when Sketch along with his friends lock horns with dreaded gangster in town.

Sketch, Vijay Chandar's second after his Vaalu with STR, stars Chiyaan Vikram and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Vikram plays Sketch, a small-scale, mostly legitimate goon known more by his street name than his actual name; we only hear his father address him as Jeeva. Sketch, his three buddies (Sreeman, 'Kalloori' Vinoth and Vishwanath) and seniors like his boss (Hareesh Peradi) and uncle (Aruldoss) are his life until of course, Ammu (Tamannaah) makes an entry. Director Vijay Chandar’s Sketch (who last made the Simbu-starrer Vaalu) is one of those films set in north Madras gangster backdrop that has all style but no substance. It rides completely on Vikram’s star image and he does everything in his ability to save the film from turning into an ordeal to sit through. Despite his sincere efforts, the film struggles to stay afloat till the end except for a few action sequences that may appeal to the masses. Read full review

About five minutes into Sketch, you get Vikram’s intro and the song “Atchi Butchi”. As the song was playing, I looked around the theater twice just to ensure that I hadn’t travelled back in time and was watching Gemini. The song feels dangerously close to “O Podu” — a grungy looking Vikram dancing in the streets with a supposedly cool hand gesture. If ‘oh podu’ was finding a view using both hands, the Sketch symbol is comparatively easier. You just need one hand and is an incredibly convenient way to focus on something. But I couldn’t find one engaging element in the chaos that is Sketch, even after using the focus the hand gesture gives. Read full review

Jeeva aka Sketch (Vikram) is the go-to guy in a north Madras-based garage run by Settu (Hareesh Peradi). He is also in charge for seizing the vehicles of loan defaulters. It was when Durai (Aruldoss), who was once the reliable guy of Settu got injured that Sketch, the former's nephew, replaced him. Ravi (RK Suresh), who was once Durai's aide, isn't happy with Settu for making Sketch his right hand. An uneducated person, Jeeva, has a family which includes father, mother and a younger brother, though he loves to spend his time in the garage with his three friends - Kumar, Bhaskar and Guna.
