Three small-time thieves survive with pick pocketing and minor thefts when they come to know about a tiger wreaking havoc in a village called Kurudimalakaavu and a price money being announced for anyone who can hunt it down. Posing as hunters, they start living there with the villagers. The actual motive is to get the price money and also the temple's idol which is priceless. Director Sugeeth has a style that is quite an orthodox one and these days that style doesn’t appeal to the audience unless the story is that special. Shikkari Shambhu from Sugeeth is a film that has too much of clichés. The style of film making we have seen in Ordinary gets repeated here and this time the script also has the same tone of Ordinary. With only Nishad Koya’s occasional humorous dialogues working in favor of the film, Shikkari Shambhu is a film that won’t stay in your heart. Read full review

If you had been a 90s kid fond of the comics, you would be familiar with the many exploits of Shikari Shambu, the fictional coward hunter, whom the world perceives to be courageous. Every time, he tries to run away from wild animals, luck favours him and he ends up looking like a hero. The Malayalam movie 'Shikkari Shambhu' tells the story of three fraudsters - Peeli (Kunchacko Boban) and his friends Shaji (Hareesh) and Achu (Vishnu Unnikrishnan), who come to a small village in Kerala to hunt down a man-eating tiger posing as hunters.
