Sathru is a Tamil Thriller movie directed by Naveen Nanjundan. The movie stars Kathir, Srushti Dange in the lead roles and Laguparan, Suja Varunee, Neelima, Ponvannan, Marimuthu in Supporting roles. The film opens with a Koothu scene where the team narrates what’s going to happen in the next days at the drama. They announce that it’s about Soorasamharam where Lord Velan will be eliminating the enemies. Kathir plays Kathiresan, a young upright police, who believes in beating the pulp of rowdies to make them confess to crimes. Though he is chided by his superior for his aggressive nature, nothing changes him as he is not someone who is doing it just because he is young. Read full review

Debutant director Naveen Nanjundan’s Sathru starts off promisingly. It quickly introduces us to the protagonist, Kathir (played by Kathir), a hot-headed sub inspector, who plays by his own rules but gets the job done, even if it means rubbing Simultaneously, we are also introduced to the antagonist, Prabhakaran (Lagubaran), who leads a gang that kidnaps children for a living. When Kathir and Prabhakaran cross paths in a case, things get personal and what follows forms the rest of the story. Read full review
