Sardar Udham Singh is a Hindi historical biopic drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role of Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter best known for his assassination in London of Michael O'Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab in India, on March 13, 1940, in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, for then which Udham was subsequently tried and convicted of murder and was hanged in July 31, 1940.
