Ponn Ondru Kandein is a Tamil film directed by Senthil Veerasamy starring Tamannaah and Vishnu Vishal. This movie is a remake of critical and commercial acclaimed movie, Pelli Choopulu. Following the critical and commercial success of Pelli Choopulu, director Gautham Menon purchased the remake rights of the movie in Tamil. The film began shooting in late August 2017. The film is slated to release on December, 2017. Darbuka Siva has scored music for Ponn Ondru Kandein. The title is taken from the song of the same name in A. Bhimsingh's film Padithal Mattum Podhuma.
