Pingara is Tulu/Kannada bilingual drama movie directed by Preetham R Shetty starring Neema Ray,Sharan Shetty,Guruprasad Hegde,Usha Bhandary,Sinchan Chandramohan,Sunil Nelligudde,Prashanth C K.The story of the movie is based on how the caste system plays an evil role in the coastal belts,where Daivaradhane (worship of local deities) is more prevalent than that of worship of Gods.The story depicts how the backward class people and dalits,in spite of invoking local deities and getting possessed,are still ill-treated.It shows how three peoples' lives from the upper caste,who are found guilty,take a turn after a prediction made by a local deity invoked by a dalit.
