'Panipat' is a Hindi Historical Drama directed by Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. The film narrates the story of what led to the third Battle of Panipat. The Third Battle of Panipat is one of the most epic battles in Indian history. The battle took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat between a northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali, supported by two Indian allies—the Rohilla Afghans of the Doab, and Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh. 'Panipat' stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon in the lead. The film is produced under Ashutosh's home banner AGPPL in association with Vision World.
