The love for one's mother, or the 'mother sentiment' as filmmakers call it, is quite literally the most effective storytelling tool to draw emotional audiences in India. And Missing Boy, a story based on a real story of a boy coming from Europe in search of his parents, has the right premise for that. Does it work? Yes, to a great extent. Read full review

When director Raghuram decided to bring to screen the real-life story of the reunion of a separated mother and son, he knew he’d have to get the psychological complexities and the emotions right in order to make it appeal to the audience.
