Written and directed by B Unnkrishnan, Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel is the first time that the writer-director pairs up with Dileep. The choice of the actor isn't surprising one bit, because this is Balakrishnan's tale of redemption from being an underdog riddled by guilt, into his own personal confident self. In the movie Mr. Fraud, there is a scene where a bunch of goons verbally praise the entry of the hero before getting beaten up by him. B Unnikrishnan is someone who likes to glorify his heroes verbally and because of his grip over the language, he always manages to make it less like a Telugu film kind of hero-worshipping. Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel is also a similar exercise from B Unnikrishnan and this time there is a layer of humor to make it suitable for someone like Dileep. Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel is a passable movie with highs and lows. Read full review
