Kaattu is a Malayalam language film directed by Arun Kumar Aravind. The film stars Asif Ali, Murali Gopy, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Manasa Radhakrishnan in lead roles. Kaattu is based on a story by Padmarajan and is written by his son Ananthapadmanabhan. Kaattu set in the rustic terrains during the late 70s, is a slice-of-life tale with lead characters inspired from the short stories of veteran writer/filmmaker P. Padmarajan.
