Gully Boy is a coming-of-age story based on the lives of street rappers in Mumbai starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Gully Boy will be directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment banner. Characters of the movie are inspired by Naezy and Divine who are real life street rappers based out of Mumbai. Gully Boy will be Alia's first feature film with Ranveer and Zoya Akhtar
