Daivame Kaithozham K. Kumarakanam is a Malayalam movie directed by Salim Kumar , starring Jayaram and Anushree in the lead roles. Jayaram plays K.Kumar alias Krishnakumar, a Grama Sevakan (Village Extension Officer) while Anushree plays Jayaram's wife, a character named Nirmala in the movie. The film is a Comedy Entertainer and is shot at Erattupetta. It is reported that Salim Kumar himself is playing a pivotal role in the movie. Actors Vinayakan, Sreenivasan, Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, Suraj Venjarammoodu also play significant roles in the movie. This will be Salim Kumar's third film as a Director after Karutha Joothan and Compartment. M.L.A PC George will be doing a cameo role in Daivame Kaithozham K.Kumarakanam. The Plot: Krishna Kumar aka K Kumar (Jayaram) who is a part of the Panchayat administration is a male chauvinist. His wife Nirmala (Anusree) is a responsible wife. God (Nedumudi Venu) and his assistant (Pradeep Kottayam) come to stay at their house to know their problems and solve the gender equality by making both swap their responsibilities. How these events make him realize his male chauvinistic ideologies forms the crux of the story.

Veruthe Oru Bharya was probably among the last commercially successful films of Jayaram. The new film Daivame Kaithozham K Kumarakanam is more like a fantasy satirical version of that movie. Directed by Salim Kumar, the satire in the film offers a lot of fun moments. But in the last half an hour the film tries to experiment too much with its satirical fantasy nature’s scope and thus ends up as a watchable average film. Read full review
