Avantika is a Kannada horror drama movie directed by Kempegowda Magadi. A village couple after a long period of painstaking wait, by God`s grace beget a son and the small family lives at peace. The ambitious village head desires to lay his greedy hands upon a mysterious treasure which he believes will be obtained by him only if he gives a conditional human sacrifice. Ironically the birth characteristics of the sacrificial human are exactly matched by the only son of the village couple. the wicked village head therefore tries to do away with him and instead kills his father.
