Anuktha is an attempt in the thriller and suspense genre, but what stops it from excelling is the story line, which falls flat. The trailer highlights Daiva Kola and South Canara, but when you watch the film, you realise that these play a very small role. Read full review

Anukta is a soft horror mystery that works. Without discrediting the efforts of the mostly new and non-star cast, the film also clicks because you do not have great expectations. The first half is so-so, giving a feel of decent attempt. The second half is captivating and is almost an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Rangi Taranga is possibly a big influence on Anukta. On paper, it is another ‘whodunnit’ saga but what stands out for Anuktha is that it holds the curiosity right till the end. Made by a relatively new team, it carried no expectations and hence makes an interesting watch. Whether it is a horror or a mystery thriller, is an answer revealed only in the end. Read full review
