1818 is an bilingual Indian thriller film directed by Rithun Sagar featuring Trisha in the lead role, with Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad in supporting roles. The film is inspired from the Mumbai 26/11 terror attack on Hotel Taj. Trisha plays the role of a receptionist in the five-star hotel and the film will be showing a 12-hour hostage situation in the building during the attack, from 6 pm to 6 am. The music for the film is composed by S.S. Thaman and Om Prakash of "Arrambam" fame is doing the cinematography.
