Tanya Maniktala is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films and series. She is best known for her roles in Flames and A Suitable Boy. Tanya Maniktala, born and raised in Delhi, graduated in English Literature from Shivaji College, New Delhi, in 2018. Her acting career began with street plays for her college's theatrical society, Vayam. In 2017, The Viral Fever's Delhi office, TVF Rajdhani, was casting for a web series on their YouTube channel, The Timeliners, and they needed a young actress for the role of Ishita. They discovered Tanya through her street play performances and approached her for an audition via Shivam Kakar, her neighbor and fellow street play actor. Initially, Tanya declined the offer due to her low attendance and upcoming final exams. However, her elder sister encouraged her to seize the opportunity. Eventually, Tanya auditioned and was selected for the role of Ishita in Flames (2018).
