Smita Tambe is a Marathi and Hindi film, television, and stage actor. She is known for her work in 72 Miles.She made her movie debut in the 2006 Marathi film Naatigothi, and rose to prominence courtesy of her performance in the National Award winning drama film Jogwa - The Awakening (2009). Some of her best known acting credits include 72 Miles - Ek Pravas (2013), Umrika (2015) and Bioscope (2015). Besides these, Smita has also appeared in a handful of Bollywood films, notably Singham Returns (2014) and the 2017 mystery drama Rukh. Other significant acting credits include Tukaram (2012), Candle March (2014) and Kis Kiss Ka Kissa (2017). In 2018, she appeared alongside Makarand Deshpande and Kranti Redkar in Pramod Pawar`s Marathi drama Truckbhar Swapna. Her other releases include Saavat (2019) and Bittersweet (2020).
