Ram Kapoor, born on September 1, 1973, is an Indian actor known for his work in films and television series. He gained fame by portraying Jai Walia in the TV show Kasamh Se and the character of Ram Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. In the Bollywood film Humshakals, he played a triple role as Mamaji Kunwar Amar Nath Singh (KANS), Johnny, and Balbir. Ram Kapoor also hosted the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, loosely based on The Bachelorette.

He has received several awards, including 3 ITA Awards and 3 Indian Telly Awards for Best Actor.

Ram Kapoor spent his early years at Sherwood College in Nainital, Uttarakhand, where he discovered his passion for acting during a school theatrical production. He continued his education at Kodaikanal International School and later pursued acting by joining a Stanislavski-based acting academy in Los Angeles, USA.

His career began with the TV serial Nyaay in 1997, followed by shows like Heena, Sangharsh, and Kavita. In 2000, Kapoor acted in the popular family drama Ghar Ek Mandir and also participated in a play called The Fifty Days of War - Kargil, where he portrayed five characters.

Ram Kapoor appeared in films such as Dhadkan (2003), Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and Bali (2004), as well as TV shows like Kasamh Se and Basera. He also participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and hosted Rakhi Ka Swayamwar.

In 2011, Kapoor gained immense popularity for his role as Ram Amarnath Kapoor in the TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. He has also made appearances in Bollywood movies like Agent Vinod (2012), Student of the Year (2012), and Humshakals (2014).

Ram Kapoor is married to his Ghar Ek Mandir co-star and actress Gautami Kapoor (née Gadgil). They met on the set of the show and got married on Valentine's Day in 2003. The couple has two children.
