Premi Viswanath is an Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam and Telugu television shows and films. Her notable roles include Karthika/Karthu in the TV serial Karuthamuthu and Deepa in the Telugu serial Karthika Deepam on Star Maa. She is currently working on the Telugu serial Karthika Deepam which premiered on Star Maa in October 2017. Premi broke conventional concepts in Malayalam television history by playing a dark-skinned girl in Karuthamuthu and became a household name. She won the Best Female Actress (New Face) award at the 2014 Asianet Film Awards for her role in Karuthamuthu. She has also hosted several television shows on Malayalam channels such as Flowers and Kuttikalavara. Premi Viswanath is a relative of actor Jayasurya.
