Bio:

Morena Baccarin, born on June 2, 1979, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an American actress known for her roles in Firefly (2002–2003) and its film Serenity (2005), Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), Homeland (2011–2013), and Gotham (2015–2019). Nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Homeland, she was born to actress Vera Setta and journalist Fernando Baccarin. Of Italian, Lebanese, and Portuguese/Brazilian descent, she moved to New York at 10, attended LaGuardia High School, and graduated from Juilliard. After working in New York theater, she gained recognition in Hollywood through her role in Firefly.
