Bio:

David Matthew Macfadyen, born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, is an acclaimed English actor known for his stage and screen performances. Born to Meinir, a drama teacher, and Martin Macfadyen, an oil executive, he spent part of his childhood in Indonesia. He trained at RADA from 1992. Macfadyen gained UK acclaim with the stage company Cheek By Jowl and made his TV debut in Wuthering Heights (1998). His breakout role was Tom Quinn in BBC's MI-5 (2002), where he met his wife, Keeley Hawes. His portrayal of Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice (2005) solidified his international fame.
