Deepika Padukone is the topmost actress and highest-paid actress. Padukone, the daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and raised in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Padukone debuted in the year 2007 with the film Om Shanti Om and won Filmfare for Best Female Debut, After a few setbacks, 2012 marked a turning point in her career from the film Cocktail which garnered her critical acclaimed. she rose to prominence with hits such as Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela (2013), Chennai Express (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Piku (2015). She received the Filmfare award for Best Female Actress for Goliyon ki Rasleela: Ram Leela and Piku. Alongside her acting career, Padukone is vocal about issues such as feminism and depression. In 2013, she began her own line of clothing for women, and in 2015, she launched the foundation live Love Laugh to create awareness on mental health in India.
