Bio:
Daniel Edward Aykroyd CM OOnt is a Canadian and American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and musician. He studied Criminology and Sociology at Carleton University but left before graduating. Starting in Toronto's comedy scene, he co-founded the Second City Stage Troupe. Married to Donna Dixon since 1983, they have three daughters. Aykroyd received an honorary Doctorate from Carleton and is a Member of the Order of Canada.Aykroyd was a writer and an original member of the "Not Ready for Prime Time Players" cast on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from its inception in 1975 until his departure in 1979.
