Bio:
Chiranjeevi, born as Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad on August 22, 1955, in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most iconic actors in Telugu cinema. Known for his charisma, impeccable dance moves, and versatility, Chiranjeevi has redefined the standards of stardom in Indian cinema. He made his acting debut in 1978 with the film Punadhirallu, but his breakthrough came with Khaidi (1983), where he established himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Over a career spanning four decades, Chiranjeevi has appeared in over 150 films, ranging from action-packed blockbusters like Indra and Tagore to socially relevant films like Rudraveena. His influence extended beyond cinema when he entered politics, founding the Praja Rajyam Party in 2008, which later merged with the Indian National Congress. In 2012, he was appointed as the Union Minister of Tourism.
Chiranjeevi’s contributions to Indian cinema were honored when he received the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, in 2006. In 2017, he made a powerful comeback with Khaidi No. 150 after a decade-long hiatus. His legacy continues to inspire future generations, making him a true megastar of Indian cinema.
