Bio:
Arvind Swamy is an Indian actor, director and entrepreneur known for his work in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam films.Arvind Swamy was born in Chennai, India, to V.D. Swami, a freedom fighter and industrialist, and Vasantha Swami, an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. He attended Sishya School and Don Bosco School in Chennai before pursuing his undergraduate studies at Loyola College, Chennai, and his Master's program at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
Arvind made his film debut with 'Thalapathi,' directed by Mani Ratnam, and went on to star in several successful films, including 'Roja,' 'Bombay,' 'Minsara Kanavu,' 'Devaragam,' 'Puthayal,' 'En Swasa Katre,' and 'AlaiPayuthe.' Despite his numerous hits, awards, and critical acclaim, he left the film industry in 2000 to focus on his business and family. He served as the President of InterPro Global and is the Chairman of Talent Maximus, a leading company in India specializing in payroll processing, staffing, and HR services.
In 2012, Arvind returned to the film industry with Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal,' which was still in progress at that time.
