Ameer Sultan, hailing from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, began as an economics student and entrepreneur. He transitioned into cinema as an assistant director for Bala's acclaimed films Sethu (1999) and Nandha (2001). In 2002, he directed his debut movie, Mounam Pesiyadhe, featuring Suriya and marking Trisha Krishnan's lead role debut. Concurrently, he established his production company, Teamwork Production House.He is an actor and writer, known for Paruthiveeran (2007), Vada Chennai (2018) and Raam (2005).
