Whenever you hear the term Lady Superstar the only name comes into your mind is the obvious answer and that is Sridevi. Today is her 56th birthday.

She hit the stardom mainly in Bollywood through Himmatwala (1983) but she got the fame through her latka jhatkas and even got a sobriquet Thunder Thighs, this would have been bashed in today's day for objectivation which is good.

But the actress was not only known for her screen presence what made her special is her impeccable comic sense. The actress had her own brand of comedy. Her expressions can make Jim Carry also a sense of inferiority complex. If you don't believe you should check out the 1987 blockbuster Mr. India. It's interesting that the film belongs to the hero and Sri had a quiet small role but boy she owned that character Ms. Seema a.k.a Ms. Hawa Hawai will be always remembered by movie lovers.

No one can forget the Charlie Chaplin act not only she impersonates Chaplin but even manages to tickle the funny bones of the audience with her goofy expressions. I can never forget her cute giggle when she hits the henchman with a dart or when Chaplin hat moves up and down. even those short mustache is in love with Sri.

Some songs in the film other than the song are also known for its picturization and choreography but Hawai Hawai is the only song where Sridevi dominated the song so much that we can see the song by muting the volume just to see her nutty expressions. The song starts with a gibberish line and you will be in splits watching her eyes and cheeks moving.

Chaalbaaz is the moving which made you ignore two iconic superstars Rajinikanth and Sunny Deol because it was one-woman show and that's none other than Sri. She literally proved that Kisi ke haath na aayegi ye ladki ( No one will be able to flatter this girl).

The actress is known as the switch on and off actress because the actress used to calm and subtle in her real life and a showstopper on camera, this might be her inspiration to play the role of Anju and Manju you can literally see the bipolar difference between the two twins.

Sridevi can also be known for her improvisation while performing a dance song if you don't believe check out this song from Chaalbaaz, Naam Mera Premkali.

The actress currently who has done roles which had a comic touch like Deepika Padukone in Chennai Express or Vidya Balan in Tumhari Sulu or Kangana Ranaut in Tanu weds Manu series, it all had the glimpse of Sri's brand of comedy.

Her humor was not forced and it always made a mediocre scene memorable.

We wish this actress many many happy returns of the day, Thank you for making us entertain with your humor. We might never get a female star like you who was a true entertainer,
