According to reports, Mumbai Police have indicated that the plot to shoot outside Salman Khan's residence was orchestrated in the United States.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the plan to target Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence originated in the US through associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Police sources informed NDTV that both shooters involved in the incident are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

On Sunday at 5 am, two unidentified men fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where Salman Khan resides. CCTV footage captured one of the shooters firing towards the actor's home. The suspects were seen wearing caps and carrying backpacks while riding a bike.

Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, reportedly reached out to gangster Rohit Godara in the US for the assignment. Godara was allegedly responsible for recruiting professional shooters from his extensive network across multiple Indian states, as per police information.

Shortly after the incident, Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. However, the IP address of the post led back to Canada, prompting the Mumbai Crime Branch to investigate the use of VPN connections.

One of the shooters is believed to be from Gurugram and has ties to Rohit Godara. He is also a suspect in the March murder of Gurugram businessman Sachin Munjal.

Godara had previously confessed to Sachin Munjal's murder in March and is closely associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol, and Goldy Brar.

Last March, Salman Khan received a threatening email, leading the Mumbai Police to file an FIR against Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and another individual for criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation, and common intention under IPC sections 120-B, 506-II, and 34. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint by Prashant Gunjalkar, who frequently visited Salman Khan's Bandra residence and operated an artist management company.
