Veera Chandrahasa Storyline: Veera Chandrahasa tells the epic tale of a young orphan destined to rise as a king, as predicted by a priest. Threatened by this prophecy, the cunning minister Dustabudhhi (Prasanna Shettigar) tries to eliminate the child, believing he has secured his future. However, the boy survives and grows up to become Chandrahasa (Shithil Shetty Airbail), a valiant warrior nurtured by the Kuntala King. When fate brings the truth to light, Dustabudhhi devises one final plan to eliminate Chandrahasa. The film unfolds as a gripping tale of destiny, betrayal, and heroism.
Review: Director and music composer Ravi Basrur creates a vivid, culturally rich world, blending folklore, Yakshagana, and classical music to bring the legend of Chandrahasa to life. His innovative storytelling and strong background score stand out, transporting the audience into a unique mythological space.
The film features strong performances, especially by Prasanna Shettigar as the scheming minister and Shithil Shetty as the noble Chandrahasa. A powerful cameo by Dr. Shivarajkumar as Shiva Puttaswamy adds gravitas, with dialogues that stress selflessness and cultural pride.
While steeped in tradition, Veera Chandrahasa is engaging and cinematic, making it a compelling watch for fans of historical legends and folk storytelling.
