The story opens with CI Antony Xavier (Biju Menon) in therapy, reflecting on his strained relationship with his college-going son. These sessions gradually reveal Antony’s abrasive nature and questionable professional ethics, traits well-known within the police force. His latest case — a sexual harassment complaint brought forward by a young woman and her mother, encouraged by activist Irene Samuel — exposes his deeply problematic mindset, as he attempts to dissuade the victim and even shifts blame onto her character.

Antony’s confrontation with Irene sets the narrative on a darker path. When something goes wrong with her, the film introduces her father Samuel (Joju George), a brilliant hacker and a deeply protective parent, who decides to confront Antony in his own way. What follows is a battle of conscience, power, and retribution rather than a conventional cat-and-mouse chase.

The first half is the film’s strongest stretch, pulling viewers in with layered emotions, smartly placed dialogues, and unexpected turns that keep the direction unpredictable. The second half experiments with a fresh narrative approach and maintains a brisk pace, though it slightly eases off the edge-of-the-seat tension typically associated with thrillers.

The synergy between writer and director works in the film’s favour. Dinu Thomas Eelan’s well-etched characters are elevated by Jeethu Joseph’s control over tone and mood, whether reflective or menacing. Biju Menon is effective as a deeply flawed cop, while Joju George commands attention with a quiet yet intimidating presence. Lena, as Samuel’s wife, lends strong support, and the rest of the cast delivers assured performances, rounding off a gripping, emotionally charged thriller.
