In one contentious stretch, a character played by Dhyan Sreenivasan recounts the protagonist’s so-called legendary act of abducting “Ramani,” only for the joke to reveal Ramani as a cow. The sequence, starring Dileep in the lead and directed by Dhananjay Shankar, has drawn sharp reactions for its suggestive misdirection and perceived parallels.

Review: What draws attention to Bha Bha Ba isn’t its narrative ambition, but its persistent self-awareness. Several moments feel loaded with winks toward Dileep’s public image, blurring the line between fiction and commentary.
