Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh clears censor with U/A certificate and no cuts; runtime locked at 2 hours 34 minutes.
The makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have announced that the film has successfully completed its censorship formalities. The action entertainer starring Pawan Kalyan has received a U/A certificate from the censor board without any cuts.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film has also locked its runtime at 2 hours and 34 minutes. It is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, coinciding with the Telugu New Year festival Ugadi.
In the film, Pawan Kalyan plays a police officer named Bhagat, a role hinted at in the recently released promotional glimpse. The film also stars Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna as the female leads.
Originally planned for a March 26 release, the makers preponed the date to March 19 after Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups starring Yash shifted its release to June.
However, the film will still face stiff competition from Dhurandhar 2 starring Ranveer Singh, which is also scheduled to release on the same day. Reports suggest that advance bookings for Dhurandhar 2, including paid previews on March 18, are already seeing strong demand.
On the music front, Devi Sri Prasad has composed the songs, while S. Thaman handles the background score. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
The team is now gearing up to launch the film’s trailer soon to further boost promotions. Meanwhile, discussions are also ongoing about a potential ticket price hike in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ahead of the release.
