Telusu Kada Teaser: Siddu Jonnalagadda’s Romance Drama Hints at Polyamory and Bold New Themes

The first teaser of Telusu Kada, starring Siddu Jonnalagadda, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raashii Khanna, was unveiled on Thursday, sparking intrigue for its unconventional approach to romance. Directed by celebrity stylist Neerraja Kona in her debut, the film promises to deliver a love story with a fresh, bold twist.

While at first glance the film appears to be a typical love triangle, the teaser suggests a deeper exploration of polyamory. Siddu plays a man caught between two women—Raaga (Srinidhi Shetty) and Anjali (Raashii Khanna)—both of whom leave a strong impression on him. The teaser shows him developing intimacy with both, before proposing marriage to the two simultaneously, leaving his friend (Harsha Chemudu) and the audience stunned. Interestingly, there are subtle hints at bisexuality in the storyline, making it one of the rare Telugu films to broach such themes.

Backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, Telusu Kada features music by Thaman S, who has already released the first single “Mallika Gandha.” The film’s strong technical crew includes cinematographer Gnana Shekhar, National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli, production designer Avinash Kolla, and costume designer Sheetal Sharma.

Slated for a Diwali release on October 17, Telusu Kada will clash with Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp and Mithra Mandali. Siddu’s last outing was Jack, while Srinidhi Shetty was recently seen in Nani’s HIT 3. Raashii Khanna, who was last seen in Telugu in Thank You (2022), returns to the industry with this bold romance drama.
