Sree Vishnu’s Mrithyunjay Locks OTT Premiere on Netflix

Sree Vishnu’s investigative thriller Mrithyunjay, which hit theatres on March 6 to positive reviews, is now gearing up for its digital debut. The film will begin streaming on Netflix from April 3.

Directed by Hussain Sha Kiran and produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati, the film also stars Reba Monica John in a pivotal role. Marking a departure from his usual commercial entertainers, Sree Vishnu takes on a more restrained and realistic character in this serious thriller.

Known for his energetic performances and comic timing, the actor shifts gears in Mrithyunjay, opting for a subtle portrayal that aligns with the film’s intense narrative.

The story follows Jay, a journalist working for the newspaper Swecha. Despite aspiring to be a crime reporter, he is tasked with managing advertisements and obituary notices. His job involves meeting families of the deceased and encouraging them to publish obituaries.

However, Jay stumbles upon suspicious patterns surrounding two deaths. Believing there is more than meets the eye, he launches his own investigation to uncover the truth and prove his capabilities as a crime reporter.

Meanwhile, ACP Seetha Parasuram, played by Reba Monica John, dismisses any foul play, attributing the deaths to accidental causes—possibly under pressure from higher authorities.

With its gripping premise and a refreshing performance by Sree Vishnu, Mrithyunjay now looks to reach a wider audience through its OTT release.
