After facing setbacks with Devara, Naga Vamsi bets big on the Jr NTR–Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 to bounce back at the box office.

Sithara Entertainments, led by Naga Vamsi, has reportedly secured the Telugu theatrical rights to War 2for ₹80 crore—outbidding competitors after initial estimates ranged between ₹100–120 crore.This deal marks a strategic move, following their earlier ₹120 crore investment in Jr NTR’s Devara rights.

With War 2 boasting a high-voltage combo of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, plus Ayan Mukerji’s direction, expectations are immense in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The ₹80 crore deal reflects both NTR’s regional star appeal and the Yash Raj-backed spy franchise’s pan-India pull.

The core question: Will War 2 box office returns compensate Sithara’s heavy investment in Devara? If War 2 outperforms, especially in Telugu markets, it could recoup the ₹120 crore plus profits. Yet, much hinges on audience reception and track records—Devara faced mixed reviews, so War 2 becomes crucial for hitting profit targets.
