Shruti Haasan unveils ‘Emaindi’, a quirky musical number from Sing Geetham, where an entire village mysteriously speaks in songs.
Legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is set to return with yet another imaginative entertainer, 'Sing Geetham'. Produced by Nag Ashwin under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, the film has wrapped production and entered its promotional phase. As part of the campaign, the makers unveiled the song ‘Emaindi’, which was launched by actor-singer Shruti Haasan.
Known for his innovative storytelling, Singeetham appears to have crafted another distinctive cinematic experience. The newly released track offers a glimpse into the film’s unusual premise, introducing a village where every ordinary conversation unexpectedly turns into a song.
Presented like a musical puzzle, ‘Emaindi’ explores the confusion and curiosity of villagers trying to understand why they can no longer communicate normally. Questions, reactions, and even casual exchanges transform into melodies, creating a humorous and engaging narrative device that drives the story forward.
Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song carries an energetic and lively rhythm that complements the film’s whimsical tone. Adding to its uniqueness, the track has been performed by members of the cast themselves, making it feel naturally integrated into the narrative.
The lyrics, written by Sri Mani, Devi Sri Prasad, Gautham Challagulla, Ratna Srikar, and Shashank Chintalapudi, cleverly capture the villagers’ bewilderment and attempts to make sense of their bizarre circumstances.
Featuring newcomers Ayaan, Ahalya, and Shalini in lead roles, 'Sing Geetham'promises a refreshing blend of music, humour, and fantasy. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 11.
