Satya Dev’s Rao Bahadur Locks Release Date, Promises Regal Psychological Drama

Director Venkatesh Maha returns after a hiatus with Rao Bahadur, a period drama starring Satya Dev in the lead. The film marks their second collaboration following C/o Kancharapalem, and is presented by GMB Entertainment, backed by Mahesh Babu.

The newly unveiled release date poster showcases Satya Dev in a regal avatar, dressed in traditional attire that reflects authority and intrigue. A subtle yet striking detail—a small insect perched on his turban—adds a layer of symbolism, hinting at deeper themes within the narrative. The palace backdrop, overgrown with vines, further reinforces the film’s mood of decaying legacy, power struggles, and hidden secrets.

Blending elements of psychological drama with a period setting, Rao Bahadur explores the complexities of an aristocratic past. Earlier, the film’s first single O Sundari, featuring Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas, gained attention for its melodious composition and visually rich portrayal of a bygone era.

Venkatesh Maha takes on multiple responsibilities for the project, handling writing, direction, and editing. The technical team includes Kartik Parmar as director of photography, Smaran Sai as composer, and Rohan Singh overseeing production design.

The film is produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Anurag Reddy, and Sharath Chandra under A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments.
