Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusini Trailer Launched; Sivaji–Laya Reunite for a Dark Crime Comedy on OTT

The trailer of Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusini was unveiled on Saturday at a special event, marking actor Sivaji’s debut as a producer. Sivaji also plays the lead role in the film, which features yesteryear actress Laya opposite him, bringing the popular pair together again after many years. Director Anil Ravipudi graced the occasion as the chief guest.

After watching the trailer, Anil Ravipudi expressed his excitement, calling it engaging and intriguing. He appreciated debutant director Sudheer Sriram’s effort and said he looked forward to watching the film on ETV Win, while also hoping Sudheer’s next project would see a theatrical release.

Addressing the gathering, Sivaji described the film as a dark crime comedy with a unique ensemble approach. He revealed that nearly 30 experienced actors appear in the film, with a new face featured in almost every scene. Sivaji also noted that several artistes agreed to work for minimal remuneration out of goodwill. He reserved special praise for Laya, highlighting her discipline and dedication on set.

Veteran actor Ali, who plays a key role in the film, spoke fondly of Sivaji’s journey in the industry, calling him a hardworking and committed actor. Actors Dhanraj, Chitram Seenu, Kamalakar, and others also attended the event.

Laya, sharing her thoughts, said she is hopeful about finding success in her second innings. She mentioned that while she is receiving varied roles, one strong success would boost her confidence and audience acceptance. She also lauded Anil Ravipudi for his consistent track record.

Promising a mix of humour and crime, Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusini marks Sudheer Sriram’s directorial debut and will premiere directly on ETV Win from February 12. ETV Win executive Sai Krishna stated that the film had theatrical potential but was chosen for a direct OTT release to strengthen the platform’s identity as a home for quality content.
