Rakasa Set for April 3 Release; Niharika Konidela Backs Fresh Talent

Niharika Konidela is gearing up for the release of her upcoming production Rakasa, which is set to hit theatres on April 3. Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film stars Sangeeth Soban and Nayan Sarika in lead roles.

Speaking at the film’s pre-release event, Niharika expressed her passion for backing meaningful and unconventional projects, highlighting her journey as a producer under Pink Elephant Pictures. She revealed that her collaboration with Zee Studios on Rakasa has been especially fulfilling.

Recalling how she discovered director Manasa Sharma during the making of the YouTube series Mad House, Niharika praised her creative depth, calling her a filmmaker who “lives and breathes cinema.” She added that she takes pride in introducing new talents and supporting fresh voices in the industry.

Addressing criticism over her choices, Niharika remained firm. From working with newcomers in Committee Kurrollu to experimenting with different narratives in Rakasa, she emphasised that she will continue to follow her instincts, regardless of external opinions.

She also credited her technical team, including composer Anudeep Dev and editor Anwar Ali, for their dedication, while expressing gratitude to her family and collaborators who supported her journey.

Talking about the cast, she described Sangeeth Soban as a rising talent who plays a crucial role in the film’s success, while praising Nayan Sarika for her performance and presence.
