‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’ Officially in Development – But Fans Will Have to Wait

The sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, left audiences on a cliffhanger, introducing a mysterious character whose face was not revealed. This has led to intense speculation among fans, with names like Vijay Deverakonda and Nani emerging as potential additions to the franchise.

During a recent event in Chennai, director Sukumar was asked about Pushpa 3. Instead of giving a direct answer, he left fans even more intrigued with a cryptic response. According to a report by Gulte, he stated: "The Sukumar you are meeting in 2025 also does not know about it. But the Sukumar from 2026 might be able to answer the question." This statement has fueled speculation that the next chapter will feature a powerful new antagonist, but details remain under wraps.

Despite the excitement, fans will have to wait a while before Pushpa 3 hits the screens. Ravi Shankar, a key figure in the production, confirmed that the movie is in active development, but it won’t begin filming anytime soon. The delay is primarily due to prior commitments of the lead actor Allu Arjun and director Sukumar:

Allu Arjun is currently occupied with two major projects—one with Atlee and another with Trivikram Srinivas—both expected to take at least two years. Sukumar is busy with his upcoming film featuring Ram Charan. Once these commitments are completed, production for Pushpa 3 will officially commence, likely after 2028.

The storyline is expected to continue from the explosive ending of Pushpa 2, where a bomb detonates during the wedding of Pushpa Raj’s niece.
