Premante, releasing Nov 21, follows Priyadarshi–Anandhi’s quirky love story spiralling into chaos after constant fights attract a meddling cop.
Priyadarshi and Anandhi’s Premante is gearing up for a theatrical release on November 21. On Monday, the makers unveiled the official trailer, offering a fun look at the film’s offbeat plot and eccentric characters.
Priyadarshi plays Madhi, a typical middle-class man juggling EMIs while facing pressure from his aging parents to get married. After several failed attempts at finding a match, he meets Anandhi — a warm, spirited woman who feels like exactly what he’s been searching for. But their seemingly perfect dynamic soon begins to crack as petty fights and constant disagreements arise, fuelled by Anandhi’s desire for a “thrilling” everyday life as a couple.
Their already fragile relationship becomes even more chaotic with the entry of a sharp-tongued, suspicious cop played by Suma Kanakala in a rare film role. After learning about their frequent squabbles, she becomes determined to push the couple toward divorce, setting the stage for madcap comedy.
Written and directed by Navaneeth Sriram, Premante promises a blend of humour, romance, and quirky storytelling. The film carries the tagline “Thrill-u Prapthirasthu,” hinting at more surprises to unfold on screen.
The film’s music is composed by Leon James, with cinematography by Gaddar Award winner Vishwanath Reddy. The technical crew also includes art director Arvind Mule, editor Raghavendra Thirun, and costume designer Gauri Naidu. The writing team features Karthik Thurapani and Raj Kumar Kusuma, and the cast includes Vennela Kishore in a supporting role.
Produced by Jhanvi Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, Premante will hit screens alongside other small-scale releases like Raju Weds Rambai, Paanch Minar, and 12A Railway Colony.
This marks Priyadarshi’s fourth significant release of the year, following Court – State vs a Nobody, Sarangapani Jathakam, and Mithra Mandali.
